KING COUNTY MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
On February 8, 2005 Cascade and King County entered into a Memorandum
of Understanding on Water Resources and Supply Planning (MOU). Cascade
and the County recognize the need for comprehensive water resources
and supply planning activities that collectively address both water
supply needs and salmon recovery needs throughout King County, resulting
in complementary strategies for water supply and water resource
management that guide decisions at both the state and local levels.
Cascade was pleased to welcome King County Executive Ron Sims as
the featured speaker at its 2005 Annual Meeting. The meeting served
as a forum to discuss the importance of the planning process to
be initiated by the MOU, and the signing of the MOU by Ron Sims
and Cascade Chair, Grant Degginger.
